Key points: you can play as a guest or register with a username, email and password. We use your data to run your account, online play, chat and voice chat, AI characters, purchases and ads. Our service providers (such as PlayFab, Photon, Unity and Google) process data for us. Ad partners may use your device's advertising ID. You can delete your account at any time.
Who we are and scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile game Virtual Droid AI (package com.soulcastry.virtualdroid2, also known as Virtual Droid 2), its online services and this website. The game is developed and operated by CastryStudios (also known as CastryVe), which is responsible for your information ("we", "us", "our").
By using the game you acknowledge this policy. Please also read our Terms of Service and Community Standards.
Information we collect

What stays on your device: your year of birth (used only for the age check when you start the game), photos taken with the in-game camera, your list of blocked players and your settings. These are not sent to our servers.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or files, and the game does not use your camera.
Device permissions
- Microphone: only for voice chat. If you deny it, everything else still works.
- Notifications: for game reminders and news. You can turn them off in your device settings.
- Internet and network state: required to play online.
How we use information
- To provide the game: accounts, saving progress, online play, chat, voice chat, friends, guilds, events and purchases.
- To keep players safe: automatic chat filters (for example blocking phone numbers, emails and links), reviewing reports, applying sanctions and preventing cheating and fraud.
- To improve the game: crash reports, performance data and aggregated gameplay statistics.
- To show and measure advertising that keeps the game free.
- To communicate with you: account recovery emails, support replies and notifications.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights and those of our players.
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on: contract (to provide the game you requested), legitimate interests (security, moderation, fixing bugs and improving the game), consent (personalised ads, microphone and notifications, which you can withdraw at any time) and legal obligations.
Chat, voice and public information
Your display name, avatar, guild, rankings and anything you say or draw in public areas can be seen by other players. Private messages are only shown to the friend you send them to, but they pass through our chat service and may be reviewed if they are reported.
Voice chat is transmitted in real time to nearby players and is not recorded by us. Text chat is delivered in real time; we do not keep a permanent history of it, except copies attached to reports.
Never share personal information (real name, address, phone number, social media accounts, passwords or photos of yourself) in the game.
AI characters
Some characters in the game reply using artificial intelligence. When you talk to them, your message (after our chat filter) and up to the last 10 messages of that conversation are sent to our AI provider, Groq, Inc. (United States), to generate the answer. We do not send your name, email or account details with it. Do not include personal information in your messages. Groq processes the content under its own privacy policy.
Advertising
The game shows ads to stay free: full-screen, rewarded, banner and app-open ads (Google AdMob), short audio ads (Odeeo), and billboards placed inside the game world (Adverty, Anzu and Frameplay). Players who buy the VIP pass or certain packs stop seeing AdMob ads.
These partners collect information directly from your device, such as your advertising ID, IP address, device information and how you interact with ads, to deliver ads, measure them, limit repetition and prevent fraud, and, where permitted, to personalise them.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through Google's consent form before personalised AdMob ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from the ad privacy options in the game.
- On any Android device you can reset your advertising ID or delete it to opt out of personalised ads: Settings > Privacy > Ads (or Settings > Google > Ads).

When you use the cinema features, the game connects to YouTube to search and play videos and load thumbnails; YouTube receives your IP address and device information. Videos are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid requests from authorities, to protect the safety of players or others, or as part of a merger or sale of the game (in which case this policy would continue to apply). We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Our providers operate servers in several countries, including the United States and the European Union. When your information is transferred outside your country, it is protected by the safeguards these providers use, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Account and game data: for as long as your account exists. When you delete it, it is permanently erased within 30 days.
- Reports and moderation records: up to 12 months, or longer if needed for a legal claim or to prevent banned players from returning.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Crash reports and analytics: according to Unity's retention periods, in a form that does not directly identify you.
- Voice chat: not stored. Text chat: not stored in a permanent history, except copies attached to reports.
Security
We use established providers and encrypted connections to protect your information, and we limit access to account data to what is needed to run and moderate the game. No system is completely secure: use a unique password for your account and do not share it.
Age requirements and children
Virtual Droid AI is not intended for children. You must be at least 16 years old to play: the game asks for your year of birth before you enter and blocks younger players. Players under 18 need permission from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16; if we learn that we have, we will delete it. Parents or guardians can contact us at [email protected].
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK GDPR, Brazil's LGPD or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:
- access a copy of your personal information, and receive it in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information and your account;
- object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent at any time (for example for personalised ads);
- opt out of the "sharing" of your information for targeted advertising (use the ad privacy options in the game and your device's ad settings);
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with your player name. We may ask you to confirm you own the account and will reply within 30 days. To delete your account, follow the steps on Delete your account.
This website
castryve.com does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from attacks.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the game or the law changes. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version, and important changes will be announced in the game.
